Description:
Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.

But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.

So much for normal.

Review:
I was a little disappointed in this book, expected to be better. By the cover I thought it would have more action and it will keep me at the edge of my seat but no, instead, I found it boring. But that’s just me and my personal opinion.

I was almost shouting at the book, because it was so slow! I keep reading and reading and found nothing that keep me hooked. It was annoying.

The end was lame, the paranormals were unimpressive, there was no villain, no heroes, and the so-called villain wasn’t even scary.

On the other hand, not everything was so bad. There was a wide variety of paranormal creatures.

Vampires were kind of dork (according to me) and nasty (according to Evie), faeries were psychotic and evil and werewolves can be cute and kind. Everything is backward, but I like it. Plus they had mermaids, hags, trolls, ghomes, etc.

I liked the dynamic between Evie and Lend, they link up so well, and were kind of perfect for each other. They have their moments that will make you laugh.

I think the idea of the story was good, but to me it just not delivers completely.

I’ll probably read the sequel just to understand this book, because it left me with so many questions.

  1. Thank you for the honest review. I think that you are the first person I have read to not totally love this book. I have yet to read it so I am unable to form an opinion. This actually makes me want to read it even more now. Thanks!

  4. I know what you mean about it being slow, but I really liked this book. Evie, the main character was so charismatic, I loved her. I honestly think she is why I liked the book so much.
