Unfed (Undead #2) by Kirsty Mckay (US Edition)
Like the first book (Undead) this has a fab blood effect (although it is a purple lol) but it is fab and different. :) I really prefer these US Editions to the UK ones.

Title: Unfed
Series: Undead #2
Author: Kirsty McKay
Genre: YA, Horror, Zombies

Description:
Fresh meat! From a hospital of horrors to a runaway zombie train, it's an all-new onslaught of the slavering undead in the sequel to Kirsty McKay's killer debut!

Just when you think you're out...it's the morning after the night of the return of the living dead. Or something like that. After running/bus-driving/snowboarding for her life alongside rebel Smitty, geeky Pete, and popular Alice, Bobby thought she'd found the antidote to the Carrot Man Veggie Juice that had turned the rest of their classmates into zombies. When Smitty (mmm...nom, nom) got chomped, Bobby pumped a syringe full of it into him herself.

But now Bobby's a prisoner in some hospital of horrors, with no clue how she got there. And Smitty is missing. What if he isn't cured after all? Bobby knows she's got to find him, even if it means facing Scotland's hungry hordes -- plus Alice's buckets of snark -- again. And this time, zombies aren't the only evil stressing her out. The brain-dead are bad enough, but how can Bobby stop the big pharma business behind the epidemic? Especially when her own mom works for the company?

Tell us what you think of this cover??

In The Dead: Volume 1 by Jesse Petersen

Format: Kindle ebook
Published: July 17, 2011
Publisher: Jesse Petersen
Genre: Adult Fantasy, Paranormal

Description:
When the Zombie Apocalypse began in Seattle and spread within days to almost the entire western half the country, the survivors had to figure out how to deal with the plague and live one day at a time. These are their stories.

If you liked Jesse Petersen’s zombie comedies Married With Zombies, Flip This Zombie and Eat Slay Love, these nine stories are set in the same world, but from the perspective of other survivors.

Review:
In The Dead: Volume 1 is a collection of short stories all centered around the zombie apocalypse. Each story contains new characters, new scenarios, and new locations, as the Outbreak spreads across the United States.

Each set of characters couldn't be less different, but Petersen weaves each story together with her unique brand of wit, snark, and humor. Her descriptions of the zombies are so vivid that you can actually imagine yourself running from the zombies in the stories!

Some stories were more detailed than others and I was partial to those as the endings had more "closure", while others had the type of ending that had each reader use their imagination to decide the character's fate.

One thing that stood out to me was that the premise of every story had the potential to be fleshed out more, so I truly hope Petersen decides to revisit some of these characters again in the future because to me, some of them are just begging to have a full-length book of their own!!

Fans of zombie books will most definitely enjoy In The Dead: Volume 1 - and will equally be left wanting more!

We put our lives into storage and moved to Paris to live with my grandparents. And I knew my shattered heart, my shattered life, would never feel normal again. Then I met Vincent. Mysterious, sexy and unnervingly charming, Vincent Delacroix appeared out of nowhere and swept me off my feet. Just like that, I was in danger of losing my heart all over again. But I was ready to let it happen. Of course, nothing is ever that easy. Because Vincent is no normal human. He has a terrifying destiny, one that puts his life at risk every day. He also has enemies...immortal, murderous enemies who are determined to destroy him and all of his kind.

Review:
I want to start with the cover of this book. The kindle Edition I have has the old US cover but now the US cover has changed to match the UK cover. Which I am so glad it has. The cover is simply beautiful. The pattern is so pretty and I love how it intertwines around Kate's arms. And of course the distance image of the Effel Tower wonderful.

On to the story. Die for Me really is a just a wonderful read. I was hooked from start to finish. There actually wasn't a part I didn't like. Usually there is always something I didn't like  but not here. I just loved loved loved it.

Die for Me is a story about Kate, who comes  from America with her sister after a tragic accident, to live with her grandparents in Paris. Soon she meets Vincent, a mysterious and very sexy young man. Kate is attracted to him straight away and is soon pludge into the dark and dangerous world of the Revenants.

I adored Kate, she is so sweet and nice and you really feel for her after all she has been through. When she meets Vincents she starts to open up and we get a proper glimpse into her life. She is a wonderful Protagonist, she is strong willed and doesn't shy away from the dangers that are thrown at her. Vincent, well I couldn't help but fall for him. I think it was a french thing Lol.

Amy Plum has created a flawless debut of novel about Zombies but with a very different twist and a wonderful mythology behind it. And a world that will suck you in and leave you begging for more. If you like your supernatural romance novels that are exciting, fresh and unique then this is the book for you. And if you are like me and love anything and everything to do with the beautiful city of Paris you will love this.

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with a free Arc Copy.
