I just adore this series. And I love these UK covers. I had the old UK covers up to book 5 I think then they released these and I bought them all. They are stunning. I wasn't a fan of the US covers. However, the past couple for the US have been awesome as well. So yeah Loving this cover and just hope they dont change it. This is one of the favourite covers in the series.

Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2)by Becca Fitzpatrick

Pages: 427
Published: October 14th 2010
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Genre: YA Fantasy, Paranormal Romance

Description:
Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described as anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away, and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch, or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

Review:
I am going to start with this books cover. It is so beautiful and really eye catching. I love the silver/bluish tone to this cover and with feather its very subtle but speaks volumes.

I had been anticipating Crescendo since last year when I finished Hush, Hush. So when my best friend (the postman lol) finally delivered to my copy I was so excited. When I started reading I did find it a little hard to get into. I had to re-read some parts because I forgot what happened the page before. However, within about 4 chapters I was loving. Crescendo was everything I imagined it to be and so much. It is full of turns and twists that I honestly didn't see coming.

The characters we grow to know and love in Hush, Hush are all back. We also get to see a couple of new characters. Nora and Patch relationship is rocky all through the book which really kept me on my toes as to what was going to happened next. Vee is also more involved in this book and I found myself starting to like her as I didn't really like her in Hush, Hush. Scott who was a childhood friend of Nora plays a big part and I found myself getting drawn deeper into the story when he appeared. Rixon who is the first book, returns in this one with a bigger role. And we get to read more about the Irish Man. In my head I could his Irish accent I made up. lol.

Crescendo, really has outdone Hush, Hush. It has answered so many questions left unanswered in Hush, Hush, mainly about Nora's Dad. It leave you hanging and begging and screaming for Tempest to be out so we can find out what happens next with Nora and Patch.

Becca has produced yet another amazing gothic tale. It is thrilling, captivating and takes on an emotional rollcoaster. LOVED IT.

Recommended to those you love a gothic tale full of twist and turns.

Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick

Pages: 391
Published: October 29th 2009
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's
Genre: YA Fantasy, Paranormal Romance

Description:
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

Review:
First I am going to start with the cover. OMG how lovely. Its prefect it really it. I love the red of the feathers that gradually go into the black. And in person its sooo shinny. (Yeah Im such a girl I love shinny lol)

I really enjoyed reading this story, Its a real page turner. It really draws you in from the start. It dark, mysterious and down right sexy. I loved the relationship between Nora and Patch. Its just full of sexual tension at some part even I was screaming just do it already lol. I found it real easy to connect with Nora, she "attractive, intelligent and vulnerable". Patch is just so.....mmmmm....yeah lol. He is the bad boy. And it is easy to understand why Nora its drawn to him. He is very mysterious and just plain yummy. lol. I know alot of review have mentioned they dont like how Nora is with Patch because one minute she can't stand him and the next she its attracted to him and well I liked that part of there relationship because I have been there. lol

The only down side was Nora's best friend Vee, she just really irriated me. I didn't like her all that much. They hardly even acted like best friends most of the time.

This is Becca's debut novel and what a wonderful novel. It is packed with twists and turns you don't see coming.

I would recommend this to those to like a dark story with some mystery. Also not recommend from younger readers due to some scenes in it. 15+

Oh and to all the reviews out there that claim this as a "Twilight Spin-off" what are you guys on??? The story is totally different and not a vampire in sight. It is also far better written.
