I have gotten my inspiration for the erotic romance I write from a totally eclectic body of sources.
Hog
Wild was inspired by the Three Little Pigs fairy tale--except it’s a
fractured fairy tale with the pigs as HOG Harley riders and the wolf a
she-wolf looking for some action, both on and off a motorcycle. Let’s
just say she does her share of “blowing” these pigs down, with or
without a house.
With Almost Perfect, a question popped
into my head on a subway in Washington, DC. Who would be the absolutely
worst person to turn up if a woman was about to have a one-night-stand
with her fantasy lover? Answer: her ex-husband. And that became my
story, set on a deserted island, complete with unexpected Kama Sutra
positions.
For my most recent release, 7 Days of
Seduction, I was the one seduced—by a song. Katy Perry’s “Last Friday
Night” had such fun lyrics and a party beat that I wanted to know the
story behind the girl whose “pictures of last night ended up online” and
“had a ménage a trois” while in “a blacked-out blur.” That caught my
imagination and seemed to have so many possibilities for erotic
episodes, that I immediately began planning my version of “Last Friday
Night,” which turned into 7 Days and included sex in a shower with a
stranger, and afternoon tryst in an office, and, of course, the ménage a
trois. Lots of sexual adventures stemmed from that Friday party!
I’ve got no clue where my next idea for an erotic novella will come from. But I bet it’s going to be wild!
About the AuthorJenna Jaxon is a multi-published author of historical and contemporary romance. She is currently finishing revisions to her third full length novel, As Long As You’re Mine, set in Victorian London and Richmond, Virginia. Her Georgian novel, Only Scandal Will Do, the first in what she hopes will be a series of five interconnecting novels, will be released in May 2012. Jenna has been reading and writing historical romance since she was a teenager. A romantic herself, she has always loved a dark side to the genre, a twist, suspense, a surprise. She tries to incorporate all of these elements into her own stories. She lives in Virginia with her family and a small menagerie of pets. When not reading or writing, she indulges her passion for the theatre, working with local theatres as a director. She often feels she is directing her characters on their own private stage. She has equated her writing to an addiction to chocolate because once she starts she just can’t stop.
