Meet Polly Price, owner of the world's most embarrassing mother: actress and all-round airhead Arabella Diamonte. Who has just been cast in a touring production of a new play, meaning Polly is heading to San Francisco for what may well turn out to be the craziest summer holiday of her life... Read Polly's wonderfully funny diary as she records the mishaps and mayhem backstage, before all of a sudden the spotlight is on her!
Polly Price's Totally Secret Diary is truely one of those fun light read everyone needs once in a while. It's primarily aim at pre-teen girls but it can easily appeal to anyone who likes humour in books.
One Stage in America is just one of Polly Price's Totally Secret Dairy book. However, I don't think they need to be read in specific order. In this one we are introduced to Polly and her mother as they are on their way to America so her mum can star in a play. It's a very funny journey that I found myself in fits of giggles as Polly is embarrassed by her mum, tries to put up with two mean girl child actors and crushing on Will another child actor.
Dee Shulman has created something so refreshing and cute. The presentation of this book just amazing. It's in the form of an actual diary and instead print word its like handwritten and illustrated with cute drawings and comic strips of scenes the Polly was experiencing throughout out trip.
This is just going to be short but sweet review just like book. I highly recommend this fantastic little book to anyone who enjoys quick fun read. Also if you have pre-teen girls around 9 and up they are going to love this book. The story is captivating and exciting and I am really looking forward to reading more of Polly's Diaries in the future!
