Description:
Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate... until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.

The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow

Review:
I have had this book on my TBR since .... well since forever it seems. I decided it was time to actually read it and now I wonder, why did I leave it so long? I honestly have no idea because I really enjoyed this book, alot more than I thought I would.

Matched is set in the future in a world were everything is controlled by "The Officals". The Society tells you who you are going marry, how many kids you will have and even when you will die. Cassia has always lived by the rules and trust the Society. However, things are all as they seem and soon Cassia is thrown off course in her life and thinking of things she shouldn't be thinking of. Mainly Ky, the boy who ISN'T her Match. (I suck at plot descriptions lol)

I went into reading this book with hardly any expectation. I have read a few mixed reviewed and was unsure. But I was so surprise by just how much I enjoyed this book. I really adored Cassia, our main character. She is very innocent and naive and trusts everything about her Society, she doesn't question them. She is Matched with Xander, her best friend and he is so lovely and is very clear that they have a special bond. However, after a "mistake" by the Society all Cassia thinks about is Ky and seriously those two are adorable. Ky, is a strong silent type who is very swoon worthly.

Matched is a fantastic Dystopian YA novel, the plot is freaking amazing. A world where everything is set by the Society it's got that Big Brother feel to it. It's exciting and thrilling and quite scary because I honestly wouldn't want to know when I was going to die. Death scares me badly and that part of the Society I did not like. I also felt at times it was quite slow is pace and didn't flow as well as I wanted it to. And I think this was mainly because there would be pages and pages where there was no conversation between the characters. I have said this in other reviews, I love conversation in books and alot of it. And even though there was plenty in this book, I don't like having alot pages between each conversation.

That was my only negatives about the book. The rest I adored! Including the heartbreaking ending I felt all the emotions the characters where feeling and I felt like I was there with them.

Dystopian is becoming one of the favourite genres to read. Especially when there is a romance in it. Matched ticked those to boxes for me and I really can't wait to see what happens next in Crossed
