Description:
Hidden from mortal eyes are the creatures of darkness that coexist with mortals: Shadows, vampires, fallen angels, demons, shape shifters, succubi, and the likes. Amber enters their world by chance when her brother, Dallas, sets her up with a summer job in Scotland. Dallas has spied something in the woods he thinks could make them rich beyond their wildest dreams. But instead of finding riches, Amber unknowingly enters a paranormal race--and promptly wins the first prize--a prize that comes with no exchange policy, and for which many would kill. Soon, she discovers her new boss, Aidan, didn't employ her for her astounding housekeeping skills, and no one is who they say they are. But by that time she's far too deep in a world she never knew existed, a world of love bonds, dark magic, ancient enemies and immortals. As the dark forces slowly conspire against Amber, her naivety and love for Aidan catapults her into a calamitous series of otherworldly events. With every immortal creature hunting for her, whom can she trust with her life?

Review:
I received this months ago for review and I am kicking myself for not starting it sooner. A Job from Hell is a really refreshing read. It unique, dark but also quite funny. And it's set in Scotland, so YEAH!! Extra goodie points.

A Job from Hell tells the story of Amber a young english girl from London who moves to Scotland to take a job as a housekeeper in the MacAlistar household. One night her brother Dallas comes to visit and they both go on a walk in the wood to find a old shed. However, this night changes Ambers life forever as she is plunged into a dark world of vampires, shadows and other creatures that stalk the night. All the while trying not to fall for sexy Aidan, her boss.

I really really liked Amber as a character. She kinda reminds me of myself. She isn't the tidiest person the world and she uses sarcasm alot. Just like me lol. She is really likable. Even when she is face with stuff of nightmares she takes it all in her stride and just deals with it because she knows she has to. I really love the relationship and chemistry she has with Aidan and Kieran. It's really funny. Aidan and Kieran are brothers and are complete opposites of one another. Aidan come across as a very serious person where as Kieran is more easy going.

A Job from Hell really is one of those story that will keep you guessing as you never know what going jumped out at you. There is so many twists and turns that makes you become totally entraced by the story. I only have a few things that annoyed me a little. The words Mate and Dude are used WAY to much throughout the story. And even though I knew it was set in Scotland I would have like that to play a bigger part in the story.

However, apart from that A Job from Hell is a fantastic story. It fast paced, dark and original with an amazing cast of characters that will leave you begging for the next book. Which I am going to buy as soon as my buying ban is over!!!

Thank you Jayde for letting me review this wonderful novel and I am looking forward to more of your work. :)
