Description:
When 17 year old Isabella Swan moves to Forks, Washington to live with her father she expects that her new life will be as dull as the town. But in spite of her awkward manner and low expectations, she finds that her new classmates are drawn to this pale, dark-haired new girl in town. But not, it seems, the Cullen family. These five adopted brothers and sisters obviously prefer their own company and will make no exception for Bella. Bella is convinced that Edward Cullen in particular hates her, but she feels a strange attraction to him, although his hostility makes her feel almost physically ill. He seems determined to push her away ? until, that is, he saves her life from an out of control car. Bella will soon discover that there is a very good reason for Edward's coldness. He, and his family, are vampires and he knows how dangerous it is for others to get too close.

Review:
Before my Friend told me I had to read these books I had never even heard of them. I knew there was a film but I wasnt interested in sparkly Vampires. However, one day I gave in to it and bought all four and I read all four in about 5 days. I feel in love. I was never a reader before I got these books and I havent stopped reading since. So having read them all I will do my best to do the review from the first time I read Twilight.

Twilight was like nothing I had read ever before. I had read a few vampire books growing up mainly the Amazing Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. Its very unique and at the time of publishing would have been a very unique take on vampires from anything I had read before.

The story its told from Bella's point of view and thats a big plus for me. I love books that are wrote in first person. I get sucked in quicker. Bella's is just the average 17 year old girl who moves to Forks. Her life is turned upside down when she meets the alluring Edward and the story really takes off. Their relationship borders on obession and that what Twilight has turned into for me an obession. There is an eclectic bunch of characters, some we love, some we hate and some we just love to hate. The characters I really like in this book were the Cullans. We learn a small part of there back story that leaves you begging to find out more.

People who know me will tell you I am a Twilight nut. I really am obessed with. However, I will be the first to admit that Twilight is no way a mind blowing piece of literature and most people who have read this know this. It's a quick, dazzling tale of girl meets boy and fall in love and thats the essential story of it.

Overall, Twilight is a extraordinary love story that that captures the imagination of the young and old. And leaves you thirsty for more. It dark, compelling and very seductive a must read to any vampire fan.

  1. Excellent Review! I agree with you 100%. The best part of this book and series is that it is easy to get lost in it. To me, good writing is a good story. Bottom line. I guess I fall into the "old" category on those that LOVE the Twilight saga (yes obsessed has been used for me too). I am so proud of it too!

    Thanks!
