Aries grew up in Vancouver in a nice house around Langara College. Both her parents were professors. Aries discovered a love of theatre at an early age when she wore a wig and played Annie in her school play. By the age of nine, she was attending acting classes but Mom wouldn't let her try out for any real auditions until she's an adult.
Aries met her best friend, Sara in elementary school when they sat next to each other in class. They became inseparable and spent almost all their waking time together. They had sleepovers every weekend and both their parents liked to brag about having 'adopted' daughters.
Aries always had a tendency to finish everything she started so that led teachers to put her in charge of things. By the time she was sixteen, she was in charge of both the Drama and Photography clubs. Aries' enjoyed the challenges and always took the jobs seriously.
When Aries was fifteen, Sara and her hitchhiked to Whistler because Colin was skiing with his parents. They told their parents they were both sleeping over at each other's houses and caught the bus to Horseshoe Bay. From there, they managed to catch a ride with a touring punk band all the way to Whistler. When they got there, they realized they had no place to stay and Colin's parents were forcing him to go to dinner with some of their friends. Colin managed to sneak them into the hotel's gym area where they spent the night hiding out in the sauna and sleeping in the change rooms. The hotel staff never caught on.
