It's Bryn and Chase against the werewolf world, whatever the consequences.

Review:
Raised by Wolves is a very interesting story. I have only read a couple of werewolves storys and this one is probably one of the best I have read. It story is exciting, thrilling and a real page turner once that story gets going.

At first I found the story quick slow and nothing really grabbed me at first. However, it wasn't long before I was hooked onto the story and I really enjoyed. The moment I got hooked was when when Bryn meets Chase for the first time. There was an instant connection between that just turned the book around for me. Bryn is a very strong main character. She is easy to connect with, and her story is very interesting. When she meets Chase she fells drawn to him. Chase is a made werewolf who is very likeable. What I loved about there relationship is that it isn't about romance, its about the Pack connection between them.

The plot of this is very different to anything I have read. Usually we read about a girl who falls in love with wolf but doesnt know he's wolf. However, this a refreshing change. Bryn is raised by wolves and we get to read about life growing up in a Pack and how it makes Bryn feel.

Even though I really enjoyed this, as I mentioned it was quite slow to get going. And there is one scene which I found just digusting. It was shocking, and I couldn't believe it was happening. However, I pushed through the shock and scene and kept reading.

Overall, a refreshing read that will having you begging or howling for more.

Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Adopted by the Alpha of a werewolf pack after a rogue wolf brutally killed her parents right before her eyes, fifteen-year-old Bryn knows only pack life, and the rigid social hierarchy that controls it. That doesn't mean that she's averse to breaking a rule or two.

But when her curiosity gets the better of her and she discovers Chase, a new teen locked in a cage in her guardian's basement, and witnesses him turn into a wolf before her eyes, the horrific memories of her parents' murders return. Bryn becomes obsessed with getting her questions answered, and Chase is the only one who can provide the information she needs.

But in her drive to find the truth, will Bryn push too far beyond the constraints of the pack, forcing her to leave behind her friends, her family, and the identity that she's shaped?

 Trial by Fire
(Raised by Wolves #2) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
26th May 2011

Bryn is now leader of the Cedar Ridge pack of werewolves and she's convinced that her pack is different - it's democratic and fair. Then Bryn finds a battered teenage Were, Connor, bleeding on her front porch. He begs Bryn to protect him from an abusive leader; Bryn takes him into her pack.

But Bryn's Were partner Chase doesn't trust the new boy, and the more time she spends helping Connor, the more aggressive Chase becomes. Bryn is not sure if it's jealousy, or Were possessiveness but for the first time she starts to feel suffocated by the bond she and Chase share.

Filled with action, unlikely allies, and deadly conspiracies, TRIAL BY FIRE will change Bryn forever. She is soon to realise that to lead a pack of werewolves, she must give in to her animal instincts and become a little less human. And as hard as it's going to be, Bryn is going to have to do it alone.

There can only be one alpha.

I just love these covers. I think they are so eye catching and even though I havent read them (I do have the first one in mt TBR) I thinking the covers capture the story from the descriptions.
