Description:
After the loss of her family, Shanntal must leave all that she’s familiar with to live with her aunt and uncle. Life on this intriguing island is unlike anything her imagination could stir up. She meets Jayce, who unveils an entire new world full of immortals and she finds herself falling in love, befriending fairies, shape shifters and many others. Encountering the vampire ‘Daray’ triggers her memory, placing her back into the realm of nightwalkers. As Shanntal struggles to remember her past, she learns she’s an immortal and not just any kind–she’s one of a kind. She’s the one who can walk in both worlds. An evil named Donovan is hunting her and he’s the stranger from the gardens who turned Daray and changed their lives forever. As her memory returns, she’s torn between the love of Jayce and her loyalty to Daray and left wondering if she’ll ever get the chance to head up to the colored stars where immortals stay entwined with their true love for all time. Shanntal finds her place, but not the way she expected and now none of their lives will be the same. Both worlds are about to dramatically change and Shanntal’s the key... if she’s strong enough to survive.

Review:
After the loss of her family in tragic circumstances, Shanntal moves in with her aunt and uncle to start afresh. With this move, she meets the amazing Jayce, who turns out to be so much more than she could ever imagine. Not only does she find the love of her life, but she also finds out that she is the key to keeping the world in balance. The decisions she faces are, although very different from "real" life, are similar to the ones we all face.

Although the main plot is given away on the back of this book, do not let that put you off. Within the pages of this book is so much more intrigue and magic than can be expressed on the back cover.

The main character in this story, Shanntal, is so relatable in most of the troubles she encounters on a daily basis, on both a personal and emotional level. She is torn in the worst way, basically fighting the good old fight between good and evil. The intrigue, i guarantee will keep the pages turning for you as you delve into a world of magic and romance.
The relationship in the main love triangle are so different, it is hard to believe that Shanntal would fall for both in her life. When she finds her true place in life, you will have an "Awww" moment, because it is the epitome of the perfect relationship that we all strive for.

The book in itself is written in a way that draws you in, and most definately tugs on your heart strings as u plead with Shanntal to keep going. The characters are set in a way that makes them so loveable, and you find yourself feeling a certain degree of empathy towards them.

The only reason i have rated this book a 4 and not a 5, is because i felt that i already knew the main plot before even reading it, which was a little off putting to begin with. I was proven wrong, and would most definatey recommend this book to anyone and everyone who enjoys a good page turner. The last line in the book does say that there are more adventures to come, and i can only hope this is true because i cant wait to read more of Jennifer Blythe's work!!

Rate: 4/5
