The Fearsome Beastie is a brand new title by poet Giles Paley-Phillips. Written in rhyme, this story is reminiscent of the cautionary fairy tales of the past but with a happy ending! - Maverick Art's Site

Review:
The Fearsome Beastie is a fairy tale that will be enjoyed by young and old. About a horrible creature who wonders the nights in search for young children to eat. One night the Beastie plays a nasty trick on some children and eats them all up but will they be saved?

What a delightful and fantastic tale this is. I read it myself first before I read it to my son and it's safe to say we both loved it!! With a quick story that flows wonderfully through rhyme and full coloured illustrations on every page it really captures childrens imaginations. My son, who is 5 was truely gripped and was pulled into the story. His favourite part of course is when the Beastie eats the children Lol. Typical little boy.

Now I don't want to say much about the actual story for fear of giving anything away. All I can say is go read this book to your childrens. It's a fantastic fairy tale that has a Grimm feel to it. It is sure to become a treasure in the minds of childrens.

  3. Children will love the Fearsome Beastie by Giles Paley-Phillips. After a visit by him today at school the children have not stopped talking about the book. This is a real winner. Well one to Giles.
