About The Book
Pretty Little Liars meets Luckiest Girl Alive in this riveting novel about a practically perfect girl who is willing to do anything to make sure it stays that way. Absolutely anything.

Things to know about Riley Stone:

Riley Stone is just about perfect. (Ask anyone.)
She has a crush on her French teacher, Alex Belrose. (And she suspects he likes her, too.)
Riley has her entire life planned out. (The plan is nonnegotiable.)
She’s never had a secret she couldn’t keep. (Not ever.)
Riley is sure that her life is on the right track. (And nothing will change that.)
She’s nothing like a regular teenager. (But she doesn’t have any problem admitting that.)
Riley doesn’t usually play games. (But when she does, she always wins.)

She thinks a game is about to start…
But Riley always has a plan…
And she always wins.

I had never heard of this author before this book landed on my kindle. I thought it sounded right up my street. The forbidden love affair always appeals to me.  However, it's a tricky one to explain. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. I just feel like even though it was an OK read, personally I think the ending was way to rush and seemed very unbelievable.

Riley is a good girl. She never gets into trouble, doesn't party or drunk like many of her teenage friends. However, she has a big secret. She is a crush on her very handsome French teacher, Alex Belrose. And Riley is sure he likes her aswell. Soon Riley in falling in love with her teacher but not everything is quite what it seems with Alex.

Such A Good Girl is being compared to Pretty Little Liars meets Luckiest Girl Alive. I have never read the Luckiest Girl Alive, so I can't comment but I totally get the Pretty Little Liars comparison. That also has the student/teacher affair. But where that executes that forbidden love affair perfectly (I am using the show as reference) Such A Good Girl is a little bit of a let down on that front. It had the potential to be truly amazing. Sadly it just seems to fall short of really gripping the reader. This "affair" is something that is meant to be so shocking and from the description of book I was expecting so much more. More drama, more excitement and definitely more suspense. Unfortunately it just seems very rushed, a bit boring and very unrealistic.

There was no chemistry between Riley and Alex. I found Riley's character very naïve  and the "affair" was actually very boring and bland. Like you give a reader a book that's about a student and teacher and you want it be electric. Sadly, it just wasn't. It was just meh! And the ending? (without spoilers). Like what was even the point of the ending. It was rushed, made no sense and just didn't fit in the rest of the book. Maybe if it was given a few extra chapters to really delve into the plot then maybe it could have worked. But for me? It was way to rushed and just let me feeling like WTF was is actual point of the story!!

Don't get me wrong it wasn't all bad. Even though it took me forever to read (reading slump) I actually read it. And once I finally got into the story I was reading it until 1am until I finished the book. I liked Riley's friends and her brother even though I wanted more of his story because that sounds interesting. I recommend Such A Good Girl if you are looking for a short quick read. Just don't expect too much from it.
