Description:
An intimate narrative of the exchange between Samuel and Hope, told from Hope's perspective, this short story prequel to the Running in the Dark series sheds light on a frightening event witnessed by Beth, who later narrates book one of the series.  Goodnight Sam reveals the tragic history of Sam and Hope, who have existed as vampires since the eighteenth century. Sam has grown weary of the new world along with the escalating conflicts of his kind and wishes to attain peace in what is know as 'the true death', while Hope desperately desires to pursue a more fulfilling life together. The repercussions of the shocking mutual decision they make, and Beth's role as a witness to it, become the catalyst for the dangers facing Beth in the Running in the Dark Series.

Review:
This was a nice little surprise freebie I found on amazon. Having read the author's novel, Few Are Angels, I was actually looking to see when the sequel to that was being release. However, I stumbled upon Goodnight Sam and read it start away. Even though it is only 12 pages long, WOW it was so good and really packed with emotion.

Goodnight Sam is a short story prequel to Running in the Dark (Not really sure when that is being released :S) It follows Sam and Hope two vampires who have been together for over three centuries, Sam wants to end his vampire life but Hope is madly in love with him and wants Sam to stay with her. Now as a short story it is only has one scene. However, it gives the reader a little taster and wets your appetite for Running in the Dark. I really enjoyed Goodnight Sam and I didn't expect anything less because the author is amazing!

Go grab this fabulous little gem while it's free on amazon and sink your teeth into a new vampire series that I hope will be nothing short of fangtastic :)

Cover Talk:
O.M.G I freaking love that cover. Most of you will know I am vampire crazy so this cover is super awesome to me. It's dark and sexy, really fits the vampire genre and those eyes?!?!? I could get lost in those eyes. If that is meant to be Sam then *drools* Yummy!!
