When you love someone so much that your heart aches without them in your life, would you give up everything you've ever known to be with them? Would you give up your identity? This is exactly what Aria did. But her sacrifice comes at a great cost, with startling consequences. With no memory of her previous life, she's forgotten what she really is, and who she's left behind: a jealous, possessive God, who's finally found her, and will stop at nothing to keep her heart from ever straying again. In this dark and erotically passionate retelling of The Little Mermaid, can a love founded on humanity, stand the passing of time, an angry sea-God, and even death itself?

Til Death Do Us Part is an adult retelling of Hans Christians Anderson's The Little Mermaid. It's a very very short and quick read. It is mainly about Aria, the mermaid who gave up everything to be with Simon a human. However, she can't remember her life before until her wedding night. Aria is ripped away from Simon and into the clutches of the MerGod. Will she escape and find Simon again? Or is she forced to be imprisoned and married to the MerGod?

Now this is a very short tale. And I did overall enjoy it for what it was but I can't help but feel disappointed with it. The story is slightly strange and a bit twisted at times that really didn't like. I did like Aria she is very likeable and I felt for her in her situation. She is torn away from the love of her life against her will. I couldn't even imagine how that would feel and I think readers will feel some sympathy for her.

As I said this is a retelling of The Little Mermaid, now usually I don't go out my way to read retellings but I have always loved Hans Anderson and was quite excited for this. However, sadly it just wasn't as good as I thought it would be. If you like retellings then I think you will love this. It quite fresh and different, although not very steamy but still an overall enjoyable read,

  1. Interesting book. Not heard of it before but looks good. Great review.

    1. It's worth the read. Really short. Not overally amazing but I think that was just me. I've read some of the authors other work. And enjoyed them :)
