Description
While developing a system to maintain the town's defences. Claire discovers a way to use the vampires powers to keep outsiders from spreading news of Morganville's "unique" situation. But the system has a deadly consequence: people inside the town start forgetting who & what they are- even the vampires. When Claire's best friend Eve & her boyfriend Shane start treating her like a perfect stranger, Claire has to hurry & pull the plug on her experiment- before she forgets how to save herself....and Morganville.

Review
I love this series & was very lucky to win this book. Thank you to Love Fantasy Novels for selecting me as the winner.

Where do i start? Oh yeah i know where THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Rachel Caine you done it again!!!.

It lived up to everything i thought it would & more i was totally gripped by the book, I finished it in just over a day, i don't finish many books that fast, saying that though i could easily read the whole series again!!, i just couldn't put it down.

It starts with Claire being in the middle of it as normal. They, that's Claire & Myrnin are trying to build a new machine since Ada has to be destroyed when she went bad (that's an understatement!!) & Claire won't let Myrnin use a brain she believes there's a better way. Between them they think they've done it but this is Morganville & not everything is always that easy. Somethings gone terribly wrong & all over the town people & vamps are forgetting who they are. Which isn't good for anyone concerned & it can only get worse. Claire knows what she's got to do but can she do it before time runs out?

I loved how we got to know more about Myrnin (got to love the crazy vamp) & with the book Claire found about Amelie, we learn a bit more about the Founder & we see her at her worse when she punishes Claire. I can't say too much don't want to give too much away. The one who stopped the machine is truly a hero in my eyes. I really enjoyed this as i have with all the Morganville vampire books it didn't fail not a little bit. Had me on the edge of my seat, the punches came thick & fast and at times leaving me wondering if Claire would be able to win.

I would truly recommend the series to all it is a brilliant fangtastic (opps sorry couldn't be helped!)
